Ellomay Capital - Reaping the benefits of 2017 investments

Ellomay Capitalâ€™s renewable assets portfolio delivered significant growth at the operating level over the course of 2017, with revenue, EBITDA and EBIT up 17%, 10% and 25% respectively (versus 2016). For 2018, we expect the company to reap the benefits of investments made in 2017, with the recently acquired Israeli solar PV assets and the commissioning of two new Dutch waste-to-energy (WTE) plants driving 91% y-o-y EBITDA growth and a positive net income contribution after two years of losses. Several new projects under development could generate additional medium-term growth, in particular the financial close of Talasol, a large solar PV plant project in Spain (potentially by Q318).

Ellomay Capital - Company guidance for FY18 confirmed at Q1

Over 2017, Ellomay made large investments in new projects and in acquisitions, which we expect to drive significant revenue and profit growth in 2018. Results for Q1 (normally weak due to seasonality) showed a 20% y-o-y growth in revenues and were in line with management expectations for FY18. We expect the following quarters to also show a pick-up in earnings. Looking beyond 2018, Ellomay has announced significant progress on Talasol, a large Spanish solar PV plant, which could reach financial close before the 2018 year-end. Our valuation of $11.0 per share implies c 28% potential upside.

Sylvania has maintained annual production guidance despite Q324 results being affected by a 22-day strike, resulting in 10% lower production. The PGM basket price was stable during the quarter, with positive platinum momentum offset by palladium weakness and rhodium prices stable. Datatec - FY24 underlying EPS more than doubles y-o-y

In a second more detailed trading update for FY24, Datatec confirmed revenue growth of 6% to $5.46bn, with Westcon International delivering excellent performance, Logicalis International having a strong H2 and Logicalis Latin America affected by difficult market conditions in Argentina and Brazil. The company also provided provisional EPS data, with reported EPS likely to come in ahead of our forecast and underlying EPS just below our forecast. We maintain our forecasts pending FY24 results on or around 27 May.
