Update: Not banking on banking

Euromoney delivered underlying interim revenues consistent with March’s trading update, with continuing gentle subscription growth and better results from events (excluding timing effects) off-setting the continuing sluggish backdrop in investment banking. A cautious approach to the outlook has led to the write-back of CAP funding – effectively a variable cost on the business. Strong cash generation gives plenty of firepower for acquisitions - a key element of the growth strategy. The benefits of the Delphi digital platform investment should be more apparent in FY16, with banking market recovery a potential uplift to revised forecasts.
