QuickView: Trinidad success just the beginning
Leni Gas & Oil (LGO) is an E&P company specialising in the reactivation of mature oil fields. As the company’s principal asset, the Goudron field in Trinidad offers a clearly defined path for reserve growth to 23mmbbls based on LGO’s planned activities at the field. The first of 30 development wells to be drilled by LGO at Goudron was successfully tested in June 2014, producing 240bbls/d. This positive result suggests the initial field output target of 1.8-2mbbl/d is within reach. Beyond Goudron, LGO has the potential for further acquisitions in Trinidad and an exploration and development scheme at the group’s underexplored Cedros Peninsula licences.
