Scandion Oncology - Francois Martelet appointed as CEO

Scandion Oncology has announced the appointment of Francois Martelet, MD, as CEO, effective from 2 January 2023, when he will take over from acting CEO and CFO Johnny Stilou. Francois brings more than 30 years of pharmaceutical industry experience to Scandion, and will lead the development of Scandion’s chemotherapy sensitising drug SCO-101 in colorectal and pancreatic cancer. Previously, Francois held a number of biotech CEO positions and has extensive leadership experience at large pharmaceutical companies. We see his appointment as a positive step for the company following the departure of Bo Rode Hansen from the top position in August 2022. The appointment comes ahead of a year that will include a number of important catalysts from Scandion’s development pipeline.

Scandion Oncology has announced that the Phase Ib PANTAX trial has concluded and reached its primary endpoint. This study (n=22) evaluated SCO-101, the company’s lead asset, as an add-on therapy for patients with advanced pancreatic cancer (PC). Scandion Oncology - Expanding SCO-101 into AML

In the recent management conference call to summarise the FY22 results, Scandion Oncology announced plans to expand SCO-101, its lead asset, into acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). The company plans to share certain details on the preclinical data package in H223, which we view as a significant catalyst, provided the data continue to be supportive. SCO-101 is also progressing as planned in the Phase II CORIST trial in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), with readouts expected in Q323, and in the Phase Ib PANTAX trial in pancreatic cancer (PC), with readouts expected in H123.

Sylvania has maintained annual production guidance despite Q324 results being affected by a 22-day strike, resulting in 10% lower production. The PGM basket price was stable during the quarter, with positive platinum momentum offset by palladium weakness and rhodium prices stable. Datatec - FY24 underlying EPS more than doubles y-o-y

In a second more detailed trading update for FY24, Datatec confirmed revenue growth of 6% to $5.46bn, with Westcon International delivering excellent performance, Logicalis International having a strong H2 and Logicalis Latin America affected by difficult market conditions in Argentina and Brazil. The company also provided provisional EPS data, with reported EPS likely to come in ahead of our forecast and underlying EPS just below our forecast.
