Flash note: British Gas moves to a full deployment
WANdisco has announced that, following the initial trial deployment, which started in March 2014, British Gas is scaling up its WANdisco Hadoop deployment to capture data from its network of smart meters. The deal is meaningful, because it marks an instance of a trial deployment moving to a higher-value commercial roll-out and because it is WANdisco’s largest big data win to date, with the subscription value worth $750k over three years.Wandisco Plc is engaged in the development and provision of global collaboration software.
