Update: Agreed acquisition of Norbert Dentressangle
XPO Logistics’ announced acquisition of Norbert Dentressangle (ND) will create a global top-ten worldwide logistics company with a complementary network, client base and geographic position. The combination is transformational for XPO and will position the group as a leader in a number of markets and gives global scale in XPO’s three core services: contract logistics; freight brokerage; and global freight forwarding. The combined business will have revenues of around $8.5bn while more than tripling XPO’s EBITDA run rate to approximately $545m before synergies. The transaction is valued at €3.24bn ($3.53bn), c 9.1x ND’s 2015 consensus EBITDA. The deal provides the platform for further global growth.XPO Logistics is a global provider of supply chain solutions to various companies. The company has two reporting segments: Transportation and Logistics. The company's Transportation segment facilitates the movement of raw materials, parts and finished goods. The company's transportation services include truck brokerage, expedite, intermodal, drayage, last mile, less-than-truckload, full truckload, global forwarding and managed transportation. The company's Logistics segment services include warehousing, distribution and inventory management, omnichannel and e-commerce fulfillment, reverse logistics, cold chain solutions, packaging and labeling, factory support, aftermarket support and order personalization services.
