Wiesbaden, 26 October 2023 – comforte AG, a leading provider of Enterprise Data Security solutions, has implemented the go-live for its SecurDPS software solution at a multinational universal bank headquartered in Europe. With comforte's data-centric cybersecurity solution, companies can protect personal data and credit card and payment data of their customers in compliance with all data privacy regulations of the respective countries and significantly reduce the risks of a breach of compliance. comforte's format-preserving encryption makes the data unusable for unauthorised persons, while the processing, analysis and use of the data is still possible for the company at any time, including in cloud-based environments.

The primary account numbers of the credit cards and debit cards required for the authorisation systems were previously available at the bank in unencrypted form. With the help of the comforte solution, these have now been tokenised and are therefore no longer susceptible to attacks by third parties or insiders. Depending on the access level, the cardholder information can be fully encrypted, tokenised or displayed in plain text. In addition, comforte's software is used to encrypt records from transaction log files.
