Dr. Mehmood Khan, CEO of The Hevolution Foundation to speak at Rejuvenation Startup Summit 2024

Berlin/Germany, February 8, 2024 - We are happy to announce Dr. Mehmood Khan as keynote speaker at the Rejuvenation Startup Summit 2024 in Berlin (May 10-11). Dr. Khan is CEO of the Hevolution Foundation.

“Launched in 2021, Hevolution Foundation is a first of its kind global non-profit organization that provides grants and early-stage investments to incentivize independent research and entrepreneurship in the emerging field of healthspan science. Our mission is to extend healthy lifespan for the benefit of all humanity by driving efforts to understand the processes of ageing. We want to increase the number of safe and effective treatments entering the market, compress the timeline of drug development using the latest tools and technologies, and increase accessibility to therapeutics that extend healthy lifespan,” says Dr. Khan. Hevolution is also the author of the recently published 'Global Healthspan Report - A New Agenda for Global Health'.

Dr. Mehmood Khan's distinguished career has included several senior corporate roles, including Vice Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer of Global Research and Development at PepsiCo, and President of Global R&D at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Before moving into the private sector Dr. Khan was a faculty member in endocrinology at the Mayo Clinic and Medical School, where he served as Director of the Diabetes, Endocrine and Nutritional Trials Unit. He also led programs in diabetes, endocrinology, metabolism, and nutrition in Minneapolis.

Dr. Khan is a member of the Board of Directors of Reckitt Benckiser and of the Saudi Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA), Executive Chairman of Life Biosciences, a member of the Saudi National Biotechnology Strategy Steering Committee, and Chairman of the Visiting Committee on Advanced Technology of the United States’ National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Dr. Khan earned his medical degree from the University of Liverpool School of Medicine, England, and completed a fellowship in clinical endocrinology and nutrition in the Department of Medicine and Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London, a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, and an Elected Fellow in the Department of Pharmacology at University of Oxford.

The Rejuvenation Startup Summit (Berlin, May 10-11, 2024) hosted by the Forever Healthy Foundation, is a vibrant networking event that aims to accelerate the development of the rejuvenation biotech industry.

Rejuvenation/Longevity biotech is a new, emerging field of medicine. It aims to prevent and reverse diseases of aging by addressing their common root cause, the aging process itself. Rejuvenation therapies aim to reverse or repair age-related cellular changes such as molecular waste, calcification, tissue stiffening, loss of stem cell function, genetic alterations, and impaired energy production.
