Senator for Economy, Stephan Schwarz, visits HPS, the world's leading provider of hydrogen-based, year-round electricity storage systems for buildings Berlin, 8 November 2022 – During a company tour on Monday, Berlin Senator for Economy, Stephan Schwarz, visited HPS Home Power Solutions (HPS), the world's leading provider of green hydrogen-based year-round electricity storage systems for buildings. Together with Michael Kellner (State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action), he informed himself about HPS and the picea year-round electricity storage system. "Having a deep-tech company like HPS in the city is a great asset for Berlin in two respects. As an important player in the energy transition, it also strengthens our technology location and creates promising jobs. I wish you and all your employees every success," says Senator Stephan Schwarz, Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises during the visits. "The delegation`s visit underlines the relevance of our technology for the success of the energy transition and for the achievement of the climate goals. The desire of the end customer and the political goals are in harmony and enable the fastest possible progress in decarbonisation in building energy supply. We offer homeowners and businesses the opportunity to supply themselves with CO2-free electricity from their own roofs all year round and at the same time secure themselves against rising energy prices," says Zeyad Abul-Ella, CEO and founder of HPS. During a discussion, Zeyad Abul-Ella spoke with the guests about the importance of seasonal electricity storage systems for a successful energy transition. In addition, the prerequisites for further dynamic growth in Berlin were addressed. "HPS is a driving factor of the energy turnaround. They radiate from Berlin for all of eastern Germany. This gives Berlin an enormous locational advantage with regard to renewable energies," says Michael Kellner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. HPS has already sold more than 300 picea systems since 2019 and continues to record increasing interest. A total of 17 patents and two utility models, parts of which are approved or pending in Europe, China and the USA, secure HPS's global technological lead.
