German Mittelstandsanleihen-Fund (Deutscher Mittelstandsanleihen-Fonds): Surprising dissolution decision

Investors examine claims for damages against IP Concept and DZ Bank Luxemburg 

 

The German Mittelstandsanleihen Fund (Deutscher Mittelstandsanleihen-Fonds is being dissolved. The decision comes as a great surprise. Many private investors, but also institutional investors, are affected. All assets in the fund are to be sold. Considerable losses are to be expected for the investors. 

Dr. Wolfgang Schirp, a lawyer from Berlin, whose law firm represents a number of investors: "We are very unhappy about this decision by IP Concept. In the event of a 'fire sale' of the fund's assets, substantial losses are to be expected. There could have been other solutions that would have been much better for the investors. We will examine for our clients whether claims for damages against IP Concept and, if applicable, also against DZ Bank Luxembourg are given."
