Herzogenrath, April 22, 2020 - AIXTRON SE (FWB: AIXA), a leading global provider of deposition equipment to the semiconductor industry, is convening its first purely virtual Annual General Meeting. The originally planned date of May 20, 2020 is maintained. The health of our shareholders and employees as well as the service providers involved is our top priority. The protective measures required to prevent the spread of the Corona pandemic, in particular the restriction on the convention of public meetings, mean that we are holding this year's Annual General Meeting without the physical presence of shareholders and their proxies. AIXTRON SE is thus making use of the possibility granted by the German legislator in the context of the so-called Pandemic Act* to conduct the general shareholders meeting as a virtual event. The invitation to the Annual General Meeting has been published today in the German Federal Gazette and will be sent to all shareholders shortly. The entire Annual General Meeting will be transmitted in full in sound and vision via our password-protected Internet service at . Shareholders who have duly registered can submit their questions on the agenda there until May 17, 2020 (End of Day). The Executive Board and Supervisory Board will answer questions during the Annual General Meeting. Shareholders can exercise their voting rights after having registered for the Annual General Meeting in due time in advance by postal vote or by authorization of the proxy representatives of the Company. Both of these options are also available online during the event until the formal conclusion of the question-and-answer session by the chairman of the meeting.
