The Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Wolfgang Clement, praised Josef Daldrup's entrepreneurial performance: "On behalf of the shareholders and the Supervisory Board, I would like to thank Josef Daldrup for his successful work for the company over decades. More than 20 years ago, Josef Daldrup took over the management of the company from his father and developed Daldrup & Söhne AG into an internationally renowned company for drilling technology and geothermal energy. This included the IPO in 2007 and the expansion of business activities to include the development of geothermal energy for electricity and heat supply. It is certainly true to say today that Josef Daldrup is one of the pioneers of the use of geothermal energy in Central Europe. On this foundation and with the acquired know-how, Daldrup & Söhne AG can face the challenges ahead with great entrepreneurial confidence."

Andreas Tönies (54 of age), member of the Management Board of Daldrup & Söhne AG since 2005, will assume the function of Spokesman of the Management Board. He is currently responsible for the departments Logistics / Merchandise Management, Purchasing and the Deep Geothermal Energy division. Andreas Tönies comments on the future strategic orientation of Daldrup & Söhne AG: "The heat system transformation and the climate targets are an important driver for the business division geothermal energy. With our drilling and geothermal know-how we can make an important contribution to this energy transformation with energy infrastructure services. In addition to the Raw Materials and Exploration and Water Production divisions, the focus is on the business with geothermal energy for heating purposes. We will drive these future-oriented business areas profitably, expand existing customer relationships and acquire new customers.

Josef Daldrup will continue to be available to the company in his future function as a member of the Supervisory Board. On 17 March 2020, the Management Board applied to the competent local court for Josef Daldrup to replace Joachim Rumstadt, who left the Supervisory Board on 31 December 2019. The appointment is to be made for the period until the end of the next Annual General Meeting of the Company. Josef Daldrup will then be proposed for election as a new member of the Supervisory Board of Daldrup & Söhne AG at the Annual General Meeting expected to take place on 27 August 2020.
