Engel & Völkers Digital Invest publishes 2022 half-year report and grows in a challenging market environment

Berlin, 28 October 2022. EV Digital Invest AG (ISIN: DE000A3DD6W5, hereinafter referred to as the “Company” or, “Engel & Völkers Digital Invest”), operator of the online real estate investment platform “Engel & Völkers Digital Invest”, has published its first half-year financial report and confirms the preliminary figures for the first six months of the financial year 2022. Operating revenues increased by 46% year-on-year to approximately €2.6 million (H1 2021: €1.8 million). Total operating income includes revenue, other operating income and other interest and similar income. Taking into account all extraordinary expenses in connection with the IPO, the adjusted EBIT for the first half of 2022 amounts to -0.1 million euros. In the same period, the financing volume grew by around 59% to approximately 25.6 million euros (H1 2021: 16.1 million euros). The company can thus look back on a successful half-year in a very challenging market environment.

Marc Laubenheimer, Co-CEO: “The first half of 2022 marks a milestone in the company's development. We were the first company to succeed in going public on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in the current stock market year. In addition, together with our investors, we financed a number of promising real estate projects via our platform. The fact that we were able to increase the financing volume by more than 50% in the first half of the year shows that we are seizing investment opportunities with our investors even in challenging times and growing together with a sense of proportion.”

With the readjusted growth strategy communicated on 2 August 2022, the business development was aligned to the current volatile market conditions. In the course of this, processes were further optimized and the cost base reduced – especially in personnel costs, marketing expenses as well as service provider and third-party costs.
