Leclanché to Exhibit its Marine Electrification Technology at the 2024 Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe in Amsterdam

  • Leclanché set to display its latest generation Navius MRS-3 marine rack system on the booth
  • Leclanché won the ‘Marine Supplier of the Year, 2023’ award at the last edition
  • The company’s pioneering water-based cell production process has been implemented to produce new PFAS-free cells
  • The trade show is world-renowned, with over 200 key maritime players exhibiting across the three days

YVERDON-LES-BAINS, Switzerland, 14th June 2024 – (SIX: LECN) a leading provider of high-performance energy storage solutions, will be exhibiting its latest marine electrification technology at the world-renowned in Amsterdam, from the 18-20th of June this year. This will be the company’s third time attending, having been awarded the ‘Marine Supplier of the Year, 2023’ at the previous edition of the show.

At the show, Leclanché will highlight its cutting-edge marine electrification technology, designed to promote sustainable and efficient maritime operations. Visitors to the Leclanché booth will have the opportunity to learn about the company’s advanced Navius MRS-3TM marine rack system, as well as being able to view the system hardware on the stand. The state-of-the-art system is tailored specifically for marine applications and has already been selected in several projects with influential players in the maritime industry. The system offers exceptional cycle life, the greenest available cell on the market, class leading safety systems, and reliability for a variety of vessel types.

Additionally, Leclanché will showcase its innovative water-based cell production process, a pioneering method that eliminates the use of toxic organic solvents. This environmentally friendly approach not only enhances the safety and sustainability of battery production but also aligns with the company's commitment to reducing environmental impact. Leclanché recently announced the testing phase of PFAS-free cells, set to be produced later this year, addressing growing regulatory and environmental concerns about the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, harmful ‘forever chemicals’ in industrial applications.

“The Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe is an excellent platform for us to demonstrate our commitment to innovation and sustainability in the marine sector,” said Guillaume Clement, Vice President of e-Marine at Leclanché. “We are proud to showcase our Navius MRS-3 marine rack system and our environmentally conscious production processes to industry peers and potential partners. Our technology is designed to support the maritime industry’s transition to greener operations.”

Leclanché invites all attendees to visit their booth to explore its unique technology and discuss how their solutions can benefit marine operations.
