q.beyond ibérica: IT service provider opens further nearshoring location

• IT experts from Spain now supporting growth of consulting and cloud businesses
• Further foreign location in addition to Latvia

Cologne, 15 February 2023 – q.beyond has opened a further location in another European country. With its “q.beyond ibérica” branch, the IT service provider is actively countering the shortage of IT specialists. q.beyond launched operations at an outlet in Riga, Latvia, in 2020 already. Within just two years, the team there has grown to around 40 employees. The IT specialists support q.beyond teams in Germany with IT modernisation projects in cloud and SAP environments. The new team in Spain is already actively involved in cloud transformation and software development.

“The Spanish team will support us above all in cloud transformation and software development projects for our customers”, reports COO Thies Rixen, who is set to become q.beyond’s new CEO from 1 April. “The colleagues there have outstanding expertise, commitment and service focus. And they are already providing superb hands-on support with customer projects.”

Pragmatic response to shortage of IT specialists

When it comes to recruiting new IT specialists, q.beyond – like other technology companies – faces the challenge of finding suitably specialised and talented experts within Germany. At the same time, the requirements placed in the IT services which q.beyond provides to its SME customers are constantly rising. Building on the success with its location in Riga and thoroughly positive initial experience gained with staff in Spain, the company aims to expand this model in future.
