As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated three gold mines in French Guiana: Dieu Merci, which is near the village of Saint-Elie, west of Cayenne, with three permits held by the Company, including Dieu Merci, Victory and Renaissance; Yaou, which is located north east of the town of Maripasoula, with an operation permit and operation authorization held by the Company, Yaou EA and Dorlin, which is located in the centre west region of French Guiana, with an operation permit EA. The Company has also research permits in the Bon Espoir gold mine and the Iracoubo Sud gold mine. As of December 31, 2011, Auplata SA operated through owned subsidiaries including, SMYD SAS, Armina Resources Minieres, Sotrapmag, CMD9, Verdal Reforestage, OMCI and SMD.
