Kawasaki & Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the apparel business. The Company operates in three business segments. The Apparel segment focuses on women paraphernalia goods which are made from chenille textile materials, and also plans, manufactures and sells upscale handkerchiefs, towels, home interiors, bags and clothing, among others. It manufactures chenille textile products in Japan, Germany, China, Taiwan, Philippines and Indonesia, and sells its products through retail stores, specialty shops, department stores and others. The Leasing and Warehouse segment is involved in the leasing of shipping storages, as well as the commercial warehousing business. The Real Estate Brokerage segment is involved in the leasing and brokerage of real estate. As of August 31, 2012, the Company had two consolidated subsidiaries.
