OCALA, Fla., Jan. 09, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (NYSE American: AIM) (“AIM” or the “Company”), an immuno-pharma company focused on the research and development of therapeutics to treat multiple types of cancers, immune disorders and viral diseases — including COVID-19, the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus— today announced that the Netherlands Patent Office (Octrooicentrum Nederland) has granted a utility patent covering rugged dsRNA, a double-stranded RNA product related to Ampligen® (rintatolimod), which claims cover, among other aspects, compositions and compositions for use in the prevention or treatment of COVID-19. The new patent broadens AIM’s existing portfolio for COVID-19 treatments to include rugged dsRNA.
