Allakos Announces Closing of Initial Public Offering and Full Exercise of Underwriters’ Option to Purchase Additional Shares

SAN CARLOS, Calif., July 24, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Allakos Inc. (NASDAQ:ALLK), a clinical stage biotechnology company focused on the development of antibodies for the treatment of various eosinophil and mast cell related diseases, today announced the closing of its initial public offering of 8,203,332 shares of its common stock, sold by the Company at a public offering price of $18.00 per share. This includes the exercise in full by the underwriters of their option to purchase up to 1,069,999 additional shares of common stock from the Company.  Including the proceeds from the sale of these additional shares, the Company received total net proceeds of approximately $134.4 million from the offering, after deducting the underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses payable by the Company.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and Jefferies LLC acted as joint book-running managers for the offering.   William Blair & Company, L.L.C. acted as the lead manager for the offering.
