Bang & Olufsens bestyrelse godkender omkostningsprogram med en målsætning om en årlig besparelse på DKK 175 millioner ved fuld implementering

Der henvises til selskabsmeddelelse nr. 19.19 vedrørende justering af forventningerne til 2019/20 og fremskyndelse af et omkostningsprogram, påbegyndt i december 2019, med sigte på at forbedre selskabets indtjeningsevne.

Selskabets bestyrelse har i dag godkendt et omkostningsprogram med en målsætning om at levere vedvarende besparelser for at forbedre selskabets finansielle performance. En del af omkostningsbesparelsen vil komme fra en reduktion af medarbejderstaben med ca. 115 ansatte, primært i supportfunktioner i Danmark.

Målsætningen er, at programmet årligt vil give en besparelse på DKK 175 millioner, når det er fuldt implementeret i 2021/22. En stor del af omkostningsreduktionen forventes realiseret i 2020/21, mens det ikke forventes, at programmet vil medføre væsentlige omkostningsbesparelser i finansåret 2019/20, som slutter den 31. maj 2020. Selskabet vil foretage en hensættelse til omstruktureringsomkostninger på ca. DKK 30 millioner, hvoraf DKK 3 millioner er relateret til Q3. Hensættelsen vil blive medtaget under særlige poster i årsrapporten for 2019/20. Omkostningsprogrammet vil således ikke påvirke de finansielle forventninger, der fremgik af selskabsmeddelelse nr. 19.19.

Som kommunikeret i delårsrapporten for Q2 i januar er omkostningsprogrammet et af flere initiativer, der er igangsat for at forbedre selskabets finansielle performance gennem effektivisering af driften og investeringer i produktudvikling, salg og marketing.

“Selskabet er i en situation, hvor vi er nødsaget til at forbedre vores indtjeningsevne, og det betyder desværre også, at vi må sige farvel til værdsatte kollegaer. Vi har været igennem en grundig proces med det formål at vurdere, hvor vi kunne blive mere lean, forenkle opgaver og prioritere vores ressourcer bedre, så vi kan styrke indtjeningen for Bang & Olufsen i fremtiden. Vi vil nu arbejde hårdt for at sikre, at organisationen fortsætter med at være motiveret og fuldt fokuseret på de vigtigste prioriteter, mens vi implementerer en mere lean organisation. Samtidig vil vi gøre vores bedste for, at berørte kollegaer kommer godt videre i nye job.”
