Lantronix Expands Automotive Solution Offerings With New Snapdragon Ride SX Development Platform
New Snapdragon Ride SX development platform for automotive designed to accelerate innovation, development, testing and deployment of Snapdragon automotive platforms
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 25, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- (NASDAQ: LTRX), a global provider of secure turnkey solutions for the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) and the Intelligent IT market, today announced the expansion of its embedded product line to support the evolving needs of the automotive industry. Based on Qualcomm™ Technologies Inc.’s latest generation of Snapdragon Ride™ and Cockpit Platforms, including the latest Snapdragon Ride Flex Platform, Lantronix’s new Snapdragon Ride SX Automotive Development Platform (ADP) is designed to enable the rapid creation of customizable infotainment, cluster and driver monitoring systems (DMS).

Designed to enable enhanced testing and debugging of the SoCs, Lantronix’s Snapdragon Ride SX ADP features a backplane board that connects a combination of multiple plug-in cards, including displays, cameras, Ethernet, PCle and various test cards and connectors.
Snapdragon Ride Flex Platform
Engineered to support mixed criticality workloads that allow for the digital cockpit, ADAS and automated driving functions to co-exist on a single SoC, the is designed to meet the highest level of automotive safety with Safety Element Out of Context (SEooC), a dedicated Automotive Safety Integrity Level D (ASIL-D) safety island, and comes pre-integrated with the industry-proven Snapdragon Ride Vision stack.
Latest Generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform
According to the Yole Group, the digital automotive cockpit processors segment is expected to grow from $2.9 billion in 2022 to $4.0 billion in 2028, which is driven by centralization into a cockpit domain controller as well as the growing importance of user-experience applications.
