Nokia and Telia Finland fire up new innovation hub offering blistering 5G speeds to spark creativity

Espoo, Finland – Operators around the world can benefit from ultra-fast speeds that 5G is offering. With 50 commercial 5G deals across the world, Nokia is enabling the network and services of the future. The first adopters of 5G can offer their customers experiences and services that require ultra-fast speed and reliability.

Right now, there is tremendous appetite for operators to enter into new areas and promote the technology of future advanced 5G use cases through innovations.

In Finland, Nokia is working in partnership with Telia to offer new and innovative solutions for end customers. One of Telia’s strategies has been to approach startups and encourage them to think about the potential of 5G to create new monetizable services.

In downtown Helsinki, 5G smartphone users in the , the leading Nordic start-up campus, were celebrating blistering network speeds of 2 Gbps on Telia’s live network using test frequencies in the mmWave range. This is the highest speed measured in Europe at the moment, and reflects Telia’s commitment to serve the needs of the wider community.

The new node provides high quality, extreme bandwidth and low latency communications, perfect to fire up and drive innovation and research. The experience is testament to Nokia’s ability to deliver ultra-high performance, which is a vital step to promote the adoption of advanced 5G use cases of the future.
