In July 2020 AS Tallink Grupp transported 617 206 passengers, which is a 50.2% decrease compared to July 2019. The number of cargo units decreased by 2.9% to 29 108 units and the number of passenger vehicles decreased by 23.9% to 118 167 units in the same comparison.

The following operational factors influenced the development in July 2020:

ESTONIA – FINLAND

Cruise ferry Victoria I operated one special cruise from Helsinki to Saaremaa. Cruise ferry Baltic Queen operated 4 special cruises from Tallinn to Aland and 9 special cruises from Tallinn to Turku.

ESTONIA – SWEDEN

Operations of Tallinn-Stockholm route have been suspended since 15 March due to travel restrictions. From 12 July, new cargo vessel Sailor is operating on Paldiski-Kapellskär route in addition to cargo vessel Regal Star.

FINLAND – SWEDEN

Operations of Helsinki-Stockholm route have been suspended since 19 March due to travel restrictions. Cruise ferry Silja Serenade was rerouted to Helsinki-Riga route from 26 June. From 10 July, cruise ferry Silja Symphony operates on Stockholm-Visby route, which is included in Finland-Sweden segment statistics.

LATVIA – SWEDEN

Operations of Riga-Stockholm route have been suspended since 16 March due to travel restrictions. Cruise ferry Romantika operated 4 special return trips on Riga-Stockholm route to transport cargo and workers. Cruise ferry Romantika also operated one special cruise from Riga to Aland and one from Riga to Helsinki.
