VirtualArmour Wins $330K Project that Includes Network Audit with Global Service Provider

CENTENNIAL, Colo., Aug. 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- VirtualArmour International Inc. (CSE:VAI) (OTCQB:VTLR), a premier cybersecurity managed services provider, has expanded its security services engagement with a leading global satellite service provider that provides comprehensive, end-to-end managed network services around the world. The contract value totals more than $330,000.

The VirtualArmour network architecture and engineering team has been brought in to conduct a thorough evaluation of the infrastructure of this existing client, to determine the exact state of both the physical and logical topology, as well as the state of the various routing and transport protocols operating within the environment, with the goal of identifying performance or security gaps.

The hardware portion of this project was won with high-performance networking and security solutions from Juniper Networks. This opportunity will build on the almost $2M additional hardware, software and services deals that have been closed since January of 2019 for this customer.

“We engaged VirtualArmour to provide a complete network audit of a large portion of our network gateways. These gateways serve as the key link between our satellites in orbit and the ground network infrastructure that carries network traffic between satellites and ultimately delivers it to the global internet backbone,” states the Vice President of Network Strategy and IT, from the company. “The gateway network was built many years ago and has been continuously modified since its initial inception. Slight differences between each gateway has accumulated over time resulting in operational difficulties and lack of visibility into the environment. With VirtualArmour’s knowledge and expertise with our network, this project will seamlessly and securely increase our services provided to billions of people worldwide.”

“In the satellite industry, a significant cost can be associated with every byte transferred across the satellite network, and network efficiency is of utmost importance,” stated VirtualArmour’s Vice President of Product, Tianyi Lu. “By reducing the operational overhead, significant business savings can be had that will ultimately reduce the operating costs for our client and that will lead to an improved bottom line.’’
