We initiate coverage on SSP Group, one of the world's leading operators of food & beverage concessions in travel locations. Sam Hart's research note examines the potential for long term structural growth in air travel worldwide; furthermore, it also looks at the scope for SSP's expansion outside the UK and Continental Europe particularly in new markets such as North America and India. SSP Group is an operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations in the U.K., Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. As of Sept 30 2017, Co. operated over 2,500 outlets in over 30 countries and operated a portfolio of more than 450 brands and concepts, including coffee shops, sandwich bars, bakeries, casual and fine dining restaurants, as well as convenience and retail outlets. These include international and local street brands, through to its own proprietary brands and bespoke restaurant concepts.
