Finally, impact investing is an investment approach considering risk, return and impact that is still in formation. The report discusses the link between family business, foundation and corporate venture capital, reviewing five main areas of impact and profit opportunities: (1) circular economy; (2) green technology; (3) Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability; (4) public sector modernization; and (5) growing demand at the Base of the Pyramid. It concludes with a ten-step action framework to assess whether the foundation has synergies to offer in the quest to identify profitable and impactful opportunities in these new market segments.
