Herige: A temporary rebound and a risky change of management
Herige reported a 19% decline in sales for the second quarter of 2020. This decline, linked to Covid-19, is very significant but less than feared. Like many companies, the small building materials distributor based in the west of France limited the damage thanks to a strong rebound in activity in June. Over the month, Herige saw its sales jump by 13.6%. Unfortunately, this increase may not last beyond the summer.

Co.'s operations can be divided into three segments: Building material trading (Co. has a trading network specialized in distribution of materials for the building and public works sector), Concrete industry (Co. produces pre-cast and ready-mix concrete) and Industrial joinery (Co. manufactures a range of PVC, aluminium or wooden external joinery (doors and windows), as well as entry closures (shutters, fences and gates)). Co. operates only in France. Among its clients, Co. has both professionals in the building industry and DIY customers.
