SII: Results in line but can still do much better
For its first half year ending 09/2019, SII group reported an increase of nearly 15% in its operating profit and more than 9% in its net income. This progress is not surprising. It is consistent with the 10.2% increase in the engineering and technology consulting (ETC) group's revenue over the first half and in line with the operating income growth target of 7% to 11% for the year. However, this increase could have been much better without a further sharp deterioration in its business in Germany.
