Scope

- As per World Bank's logistics performance index (LPI), transport and logistic infrastructure in Malaysia deteriorated over the last two years with decline in rank from 32nd in 2016 to 41st in 2018 out of 160 countries
- According GlobalData estimates, mining, manufacturing and utilities contributed 34.5% to the gross value added (GVA) in 2018, followed by wholesale, retail and hotels (18.2%) and financial intermediation, real estate and business activities (10.9%). In nominal terms, the three sectors are expected to grow by 6.6%, 9.2% and 7.1%, respectively in 2019.
