Moody's upgrades Energen to Ba2
Moody's Investors Service ("Moody's") upgraded Energen Corporation's (Energen) Corporate Family Rating (CFR) to Ba2 from Ba3, Probability of Default Rating (PDR) to Ba2-PD from Ba3-PD and senior unsecured notes to B1 from B2. The Speculative Grade Liquidity (SGL) rating was lowered to SGL-2 ...Energen is an oil and natural gas exploration and production company engaged in the exploration, development and production of oil, natural gas liquids and natural gas. The company's operations are conducted through its subsidiary, Energen Resources Corporation and primarily occur within the Midland Basin, the Delaware Basin and the Central Basin Platform areas of the Permian Basin in west Texas and New Mexico. The company's operations focus on increasing production and adding proved reserves through the development of oil, natural gas liquids and natural gas properties. In addition, the company explores for and develops new reservoirs, primarily in areas in which it has an operating presence.
