Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota SA ESP (ETB) is a Colombia-based company principally engaged in the telecommunications sector. The Company's activities include the provision of landline telephony, broadband Internet access, long distance calls, prepaid telephone cards, Internet protocol (IP) telephony, cable television and other products and services aimed at individuals, businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As of December 31, 2011, the Company owned fully consolidated subsidiary Compania Colombiana de Servicios de Valor Agregado y Telematicos SA ESP (Colvatel), which is involved in the provision of a variety of outsourcing and value-added services within the communications and information technology (IT) sectors, as well as it held minor stakes in Colombia Movil SA ESP and Contact Center Americas SA, and the Capital District of Bogota was its major shareholder with 86.59% of its interest.
