Moody's affirms Golub Capital BDC, Inc.'s Baa3 senior unsecured debt ratings and maintains positive outlook
Moody's Investors Service (Moody's) has today affirmed Golub Capital BDC, Inc.'s (GBDC or Golub Capital) Baa3 long-term issuer and senior unsecured debt ratings following the company's announcement that it plans to merge with Golub Capital BDC 3, Inc. (GBDC3). GBDC's outlook was maintained positive....Golub Capital BDC is registered as an externally managed, closed-end, non-diversified management investment company. The company makes investments primarily in one stop (a loan that combines characteristics of first lien senior secured loans and second lien or subordinated loans) and other senior secured loans of middle-market companies that are, in most cases, sponsored by private equity firms. The company's investment objective is to generate existing income and capital appreciation by investing primarily in one stop and other senior secured loans of United States middle-market companies.
