Moody's Ratings assigns Ba3 rating to new senior notes issued by Icahn Enterprises

Through its subsidiaries, the company is engaged in the following operating businesses: Investment, which is comprised of various private investment funds in which the company has general partner interests and through which the company invests its proprietary capital; Energy, which engages in the petroleum refining and nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing industries through its interests in CVR Refining, LP and CVR Partners, LP; Automotive, which invests in and operates businesses involved in automotive repair and maintenance services; and Food Packaging, which produces cellulosic, fibrous and plastic casings used to prepare and package processed meat products.
