Moody's Ratings (Moody's) has assigned a Aa2 rating to the backed senior unsecured notes to be issued by Kraton Corporation (Kraton) and guaranteed by Korea Development Bank (KDB, Aa2/P-1 stable). Proceeds from the notes will be used by Kraton to refinance existing indebtedness and for general cor...Kraton is a holding company. Through its subsidiaries, the company is engaged in specialty chemicals that manufactures styrenic block copolymers (SBCs), specialty polymers, and performance products primarily derived from pine wood pulping co-products. The company's segments are: Polymer, which is comprised of its SBCs, which are engineered synthetic elastomers, and are used in a range of applications, including adhesives, coatings, consumer and personal care products, sealants, lubricants, medical, packaging, automotive, paving, roofing, and footwear products; and Chemical, which manufactures and sells products primarily derived from pine wood pulping co-products.
