New York, May 29, 2019-- Moody's Investors Service has assigned a Prime-2 short-term rating to Mid-America Apartments, L.P.' s $500 million unsecured commercial paper program in the US.Mid-America Apartment Communities is a multifamily-focused, self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust. The company owns, operates, acquires and develops apartment communities located in the Southeast, Southwest and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. The company maintains full or partial ownership of apartment communities and commercial properties across 16 states and the District of Columbia. The company's business is conducted principally through Mid-America Apartments, L.P., in which the company is the sole general partner.
