Moody's assigns B1 to Nielsen's proposed senior notes, affirms Ba3 CFR; outlook revised to stable

Approximately $500 million of new debt rated. New York, January 25, 2017-- Moody's Investors Service has assigned a B1 rating to the proposed $500 million senior unsecured notes to be issued by The Nielsen Company S. à. r.l., an indirect subsidiary of Nielsen Holdings plc. Proceeds are expected to be used for general corporate purposes, including to partially fund the $560 million purchase price for the acquisition of Gracenote from Tribune Media Company.
