Moody's rates Viasat's new secured and unsecured debt Ba3 and Caa1

The company conducts its business through three segments: satellite services, which provides satellite-based broadband services to consumers, enterprises, and mobile broadband customers; commercial networks, which develops and produces a variety of satellite and wireless products, systems and solutions that enable the provision of fixed and mobile broadband services; and government systems, which provides global mobile broadband services to military and government users, and develops and produces network-centric Internet Protocol-based fixed and mobile communications products and solutions.
