Mr. Sanghi is the Managing Director of Rajasthan-based JS Fourwheel, which has been in the auto dealership business since 1985. JS Fourwheel is also partner of Mahindra & Mahindra (Auto) and Hero MotoCorp. Besides, Mr. Sanghi is the Director of International Affairs at Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA).

We hosted a conference call with Mr. Nikunj Sanghi (MD, JS Fourwheel) to get an update on the Diwali season demand. Key highlights:

Overall festive sales for 2Ws and PVs are higher (Navratras to Diwali) in low single-digits than that witnessed in the same period last year. M&HCV is yet to see a pick-up in momentum.
Except MHCV, inventory correction has taken place across segments with inventory expected at below 30 days post the festive season.
PSU banks are quite aggressive on auto loans, offering cheaper rates than NBFCs and longer tenures (especially for 4Ws). Financing penetration has gone up by ~10pp, whereas LTV has increased to 80-85% (v/s 70-75%) on the on-road price.
