METALS WEEKLY: Iron ore and pellet prices move up; Indian steel prices also higher

Indian steel: Long product (TMT Mumbai) prices increased 1% WoW. Sponge iron prices ended the week unchanged, while scrap prices decreased ~3% WoW. Iron ore prices at private miners were higher. Pellet prices were up ~18% WoW. Domestic HRC prices were up ~2% WoW. Import price offers were higher, while export offers were largely unchanged.
Raw materials: Iron ore prices (China CFR) were up 4% WoW. Thermal coal prices were unchanged. Coking coal prices increased 1% WoW. China's pellet import prices increased 6% WoW. Chinese graphite electrode prices were largely unchanged.
Europe: HRC prices were slightly higher. CIS HRC export prices were up 7% WoW. Rotterdam scrap prices were down ~4% WoW.
China steel prices: Chinese local rebar and HRC prices were slightly higher. Export price of rebar rose 4% WoW, while HRC prices were higher 5% WoW.
Base metals: Aluminum (cash LME) prices were down 1% WoW. Alumina prices were higher. Copper (cash LME) prices were largely unchanged WoW. Zinc (cash LME) prices were down ~2% WoW. Lead (cash LME) prices were flat WoW. Brent crude prices were up ~7% WoW.
