Indian steel: Long product (TMT Mumbai) prices were down ~1% WoW. Sponge iron prices were ~2% higher, while scrap prices were broadly unchanged WoW. Iron ore prices for NMDC and Rungta increased WoW. Pellet prices remained flat WoW. Domestic HRC prices were unchanged WoW. Export and import price offers were marginally lower.
Raw materials: Iron ore prices (China CFR) increased ~7% WoW. Thermal coal prices were down ~5% WoW. Coking coal prices were ~1% lower. China's pellet import prices were ~4% higher WoW. Chinese graphite electrode prices declined ~5%.
Europe: CIS HRC export prices were unchanged WoW.
China steel prices: Chinese HRC and rebar prices were broadly unchanged WoW. Export prices for HRC were ~2% lower.
Base metals: Aluminum (cash LME) prices were down ~1% WoW. Copper (cash LME) prices were down ~2% WoW. Zinc (cash LME) prices were ~2% lower WoW. Lead (cash LME) prices were broadly unchanged WoW. Brent crude prices were down ~5% WoW.
