Best of breed earnings growth momentum was maintained with strong beat all all fronts. Net sales grew 19.3% YoY despite a high base to INR15.3b (our estimate: INR14.3b) in 2QFY19. Volumes grew by a healthy 17% YoY (industry grew 14%).
EBITDA increased 43.4% YoY to INR3.2b (our estimate: INR2.5b). Adj. PAT grew by 74.5% YoY to INR1.6b (our estimate: INR1.1b). Operating environment appears to be improving at a healthy pace, market share gains continue and profitability is increasing (indicating continuing strong pace of earnings growth).

India’s merchandise trade deficit widened in October to $17.13 billion due in large part to a higher oil import bill, official data released on Thursday showed. The trade deficit is wider than the $14.61 billion seen in October of last year and the $13.98 billion in September 2018.
