â€‹HDFC: A stable quarter; continued pick-up in non-retail loans
HDFC reported 4QFY17 PAT of INR20.4b, in line with estimate. Overall AUM growth of 15.6% YoY was a tad below 16-17% growth in the first three quarters of the year. This was driven by equal growth in both retail and corporate loans.
We are encouraged by the sustained pick-up in corporate loan growth over past three quarters. Strong growth in the corporate segment helped maintain overall spreads at 2.33%.
Margins were unchanged at 4.1% for FY17 v/s FY16. Tier I capital now stands at 11.8%.
