IT vendors' commentary on the BFSI vertical in the recent past has gradually softened, led by concerns about delays in decision making as well as pressure in the capital markets in the US and the banking ecosystem in Europe.
TCS indicated that near-term sluggishness may weigh on its double-digit growth aspirations for FY20.
While INFY remains confident on BFSI, it is in part due to its inorganic transaction with Stater NV. That said, the company also cited some challenges due to M&A among US banks, which may delay decision making. However, the impact will likely be offset by healthy deal wins.
