​MTS Research provides technical analysis services in the form of regular publications and consultancy advice, catering for a number of different investment approaches from absolute and relative returns to long-only and long/short.The company has a globally-spread client base ranging in size from the very largest of international money managers down to start-up hedge funds. Many have been with us for over 15 years, and some over 25 years.

MTS was founded in 1989 at the request of Morgan Grenfell Asset Management, by Peter Beuttell, a Portfolio Manager there between 1987 and 1989. Prior to that Peter was a Director at Hill Samuel Pensions Investment Management, and a Manager at Provident Mutual Managed Pension Funds, having previously qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen. He is a self-taught market technician with over 35 years experience, specialising in Elliott Wave Theory.
