Equity market Summary

Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) end the week with a good performance (w/w). At the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index up by 0.25% at 167.64 points. But it annual performance is mitigated by 2.38% to reach P/E of 10.69.

The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 2.789 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 2 897 191 shares against 1 209 358 shares last week. The market breadth was positive (w/w) with 16 gainers against 19 decliners and 10 shares unchanged.

At the sector level, “Cables” was the best performer, growing by 15.58% at 43.08 points and the “Construction” knew the strongest drop (-11.76%) at 43.54 points.

 

The best performances of the week were recorded by:

SICABLE CI is at the top of the week's rankings. The stock boosted 15.58% to XOF 1 335. BOA CI  (XOF 3 315) grew by 8.69% for a total traded value of XOF 47.472 million. SOGB CI (XOF 2 000) recorded an interesting performance this week, with an up of 8.11%. At this trading session, VIVO ENERGY CI increased by 6.18% to stand at XOF 945. SERVAIR ABIDJAN CI ends the week with a gain of 5.45% to XOF 1 160.

 

The worst performances of the week were recorded by:

SETAO CI which show the largest drop of the week    (-11.76%) to XOF 150. The good dynamics observed on AIR LIQUIDE CI since the beginning of February stopped at this trading session. Indeed, the title is recorded at     XOF 450 today, which refers to a decline of 10.00%. BOA SENEGAL decreased by 7.58% to stand at XOF 1 585. SITAB CI (XOF 1 210) recorded a drop of 7.28% inducing the low performance of the Tobacco index. SUCRIVOIRE ends this downward ranking with a decline of 5.24% to XOF 995.

 

Bond Market Summary

The bond market ended this week with a decrease of 0.03% at XOF 3 518.653 billion against XOF 3 519.554 billion last week. The reason for this down is the loss of XOF 175 on the price of the bond “TPCI 5.90% 2016-2026”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 584.262 million for 58 605 bonds traded. The bond called “TPBF 6.50% 2018-2025” with 45 000 bonds for XOF 450 million was the most liquid, representing 77.02% of the total value traded.
