     Equity market Summary

Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) maintain a positive performance (w/w). By the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index increased by 0.24% at 232.37 points. However, in overall since the start of the year, it is still down by 2.44%. The BRVM 10 index surged by 0.27% at 210.90 points. Also recording a negative annual performance so far at 1.96%. The market total volume of shares traded this week was at 6.727 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 543 817 shares against 541 007 shares last week.

The market breadth was positive (w/w) with 27 gainers and 11 laggards. At the sectoral level, Edition & Publication index once again was the best performer, surging by 22,08% at 57.49 points. However, Automotives Suppliers index acknowledged the most significant drop (-0.43%) at 24.51 points.

The best performances of the week were recorded by:
SUCRIVOIRE (+38.86%), shows the most substantial rise to close at XOF 1 590 and continue to confirm its good shape. NEI CEDA gained +22.08% at XOF 94. The stock BERNABE CI (XOF 2 850) recorded +16.33% to reach at XOF 400. With a price of XOF 1 800, SICABLE CI has boosted the Cable sector index (+ 12.50%). SERVAIR ABIDJAN CI continues its upward cycle, closing at XOF 1 800 for an increase of 11.80% compared to last Friday.

The worst performances of the week were recorded by:

ECOBANK CI fell further this week by 5.79% to end at XOF 24 480. BICICI drop again this week, leaving 3.02% to stand at XOF 8 195. SICOR CI has crumbled by 2.65%, draining then 155 350 of his capital to close at XOF 3 850. Finally, SONATEL (XOF 21 700) has broken down to 2.47% reducing the performance of telecommunication sector index, which posted a decline of -0.03%. Finally, CORIS BANK INTERNATIONAL lost (-2.17%) to stand at XOF 9 000. 

           Bond Market Summary

The bond market ended the week with an increase of 0.004% at XOF 2 939.35 billion against XOF 2 939.23 billion last week. This growth is mainly explained by the gain of XOF 20 on the price of the bond “TPCI 6.55% 2014-2022 ". The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 236 377 600 for 26 668 bonds traded. The bond “TPCI 6.00% 2016-2028” with 11 800 bonds for XOF 118 000 000 was the most liquid, representing 49.92% of the total value traded.
