  • Equity market Summary

Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) end the week with a good performance (w/w). At the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index up by 0.28% at 166.95 points. It annual performance is slightly reduced by 0.19% to reach P/E of 10.90 and an average liquidity ratio of 26.25%.

The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 3.23 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 869 028 shares against 845 015 shares last week. The market breadth was negative (w/w) with 14 gainers against 30 decliners and 9 shares unchanged. At the sector level, “Edition Publication index” was the best performer, growing by 7.41% at 220.50 points and the “construction index” knew the strongest drop (-16.45%) at 50.07 points. 

The best performances of the week were recorded by:

 SGBCI (+18.07%) shows the strongest increase with a closing price of XOF 8 265. At this trading session,CFAO CI grow this week to 13.48% to stand at XOF 505. SAPH CI recording a growth of 12,63% to XOF 3 210, BOA CI (XOF 2 475) for a rise of 7.84%. At the end of this trading session, NEI CEDA increase from 7.84% to stand at XOF 290.

 The worst performances of the week were recorded by:

 BOA BENIN (-13.79%) which show the most substantial drop of the week, it’s recorded at XOF 2 500. This week SETAO CI (-10.26%) saw its value stand at XOF 175. This week, SICABLE CI loses 9.09% to stand at XOF 905 caused by the gains. TOTAL CI fell by 8.00% to close at XOF 1 250. Finally, BERNABE CI (XOF 2 040) decreased by 7.06% inducing the bad performance of distribution index which lost 0.29 point.

  • Bond Market Summary

The bond market ended this week with a decrease of 0.54% at XOF 3 289.29 billion against XOF 3 307.27 billion last week. The reason for this down is the delisting of the bond “TPCI 6,30% 2013-2018”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 5,945 billion for 599 665 bonds traded. The bonds called “TPCI 5,90% 2016-2026”  and “TPCI 5,99% 2015-2025” with respectively 325 001 bonds for XOF 3.25 billion and 200 000 bonds for XOF 1.98 billion, were the most liquid, representing 58.96%  and 35.98 % of the total value traded.
