  • Equity market Summary

 

Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) end the week with a good performance (w/w). At the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index up by 0.17% at 165.42 points. But it annual performance is mitigated by 3.67% to reach P/E of 10.61.

 

The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 1.396 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 396 770 shares against 582 141 shares last week. The market breadth was negative (w/w) with 22 decliners against 18 gainers and 5 shares unchanged.

 

At the sector level, “Textile” was the best performer, growing by 10.93% at 77.57 points and the “Edition Publication” knew the strongest drop (-9.30%) at 148.27 points.

 

The worst performances of the week were recorded by:

 

BERNABE CI which show the largest drop of the week    (-13.48%) to XOF 1 990. As last week, NEI CEDA CI decreased this Friday by 9.30% to stand at XOF 195. CFAO CI (XOF 460) recorded a drop of 8.00% inducing the low performance of the Distribution index by 7.77%. This Friday, CROWN SIEM CI loses 7.94% to close at XOF 290. BICICI ends this downward ranking with a decline of 6.63% to XOF 6 200.

 

The best performances of the week were recorded by:

 

BOA CI is at the top of the week's rankings. The stock boosted 21.53% to XOF 3 895. SUCRIVOIRE (XOF 1 060) grew by 20.45% for a total traded value of XOF 39.33 million. SGB CI (XOF 8 600) recorded an interesting performance this week, with an up of 14.67%. At this trading session, SICABLE CI increased by 12.90% to stand at XOF 1 050. BOA BF ends the week with a gain of 12.50% to XOF 4 500.

 

 

  • Bond Market Summary

 

The bond market ended this week with an increase of 1.77% at XOF 3 523.333 billion against XOF 3 462.065 billion last week. The reason for this up is the first listing of the bond “TPBF 6.50% 2018-2025”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 64.921 million for 8 603 bonds traded. The bond called “TPBJ 6.50% 2017-2027” with 2 336 bonds for XOF 23.129 million was the most liquid, representing 35.63% of the total value traded.
