  • Equity market Summary

 

Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) end the week with a good performance (w/w). At the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index up by 1.09% at 167.23 points. It annual performance is mitigated by 2.62% to reach P/E of 10.63.

 

The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 1.489 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 1 209 358 shares against 396 770 shares last week. The market breadth was positive (w/w) despite of 21 decliners against 17 gainers and 7 shares unchanged.

 

At the sector level, “Automotive Suppliers” was the best performer, growing by 15.16% at 16.38 points and the “Tobacco” knew the strongest drop (-15.26%) at 18.35 points.

 

The best performances of the week were recorded by:

 

CFAO CI is at the top of the week's rankings. Indeed, the stock boosted 32.61% to XOF 610. VIVO ENERGY CI (XOF 890) grew by 11.25% for a total traded value of XOF 25.47 million. This week, SICABLE CI (XOF 1 155) recorded an interesting performance with an up of 10.00%. At this trading session, SIB CI increased by 8.51% to stand at XOF 2 550. UNIWAX CI ends the week with an up of 7.39% to XOF 2 180.

 

The worst performances of the week were recorded by:

 

BOA CI which show the largest drop of the week (-21.69%) to XOF 3 050. The gain observed the last week on SITAB CI was not confirmed. The stock reached at XOF 1 305 with a drop of 15.26%. This Friday BOA MALI decreased by 11.11% to stand at XOF 2 000. BERNABE CI (XOF 1 800) recorded a down of 9.55% inducing the low performance of the Distribution index by 7.39%. SOLIBRA CI ends this downward ranking with a decline of 8.86% to XOF 51 950.

 

 

  • Bond Market Summary

 

The bond market ended this week with a decrease of 0.09% at XOF 3 519.554 billion against XOF 3 523.333 billion last week. The reason for this down is the loss of XOF 200 on the price of the bond “TPCI 5.85% 2015-2022”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 48.861 million for 5 039 bonds traded. The bond called “TPCI 5.85% 2015-2022” with 4 001 bonds for XOF 39.209 million was the most liquid, representing 80.25% of the total value traded.
