Market indexes (BRVM Composite & BRVM 10) end the week with a good performance (w/w). At the end of this week’s session, BRVM Composite index up by 2.21% at 177.81 points. Consequently, its annual performance has improved by 3.54% to reach P/E of 10.94.
The total market value of shares traded this week was at XOF 2.220 billion. Moreover, this week’s volume traded was 3 202 422 shares against 919 078 shares last week. The market breadth was positive (w/w) with 24 gainers against 13 decliners and 8 shares unchanged.
At the sector level, “Edition Publication” was the best performer, growing by 39.39% at 349.76 points and the “Chemical” knew the strongest drop (-8.16%) at 23.38 points.
The best performances of the week were recorded by:
NEI CEDA CI is at the top of the week's rankings. The stock boosted by 39.39% to XOF 460. This Friday, SERVAIR ABIDJAN CI (36.32%) evolved from XOF 1 170 to XOF 1 595. With a trading volume of 921 shares, NESTLE CI (XOF 1 100) gained 15.18%. TOTAL CI (XOF 1 430) and VIVO ENERGY CI (XOF 935) recorded the respective increases of 10.42% and 10.00%. This performance drives up the Oil & Gas sector index (+2.61 points).
The worst performances of the week were recorded by:
AIR LIQUIDE CI which show the largest drop of the week (-8.16%) to XOF 450. At this trading session, NSIA BANQUE CI (XOF 3 685) showed a loss of 7.88%. FILTISAC CI decreased by 6.96% to stand at XOF 1 270. SITAB CI recorded a drop of 5.88% to reach a price of XOF 1 200. SMB CI (XOF 4 700) ends this downward ranking with a decline of 5.81% inducing the low performance of the Oil & Gas index.
The bond market ended this week with a slight increase by 0.01% at XOF 3 478.49 billion against XOF 3 478.12 billion last week. The reason for this up is the gain of XOF 175 on the price of the bond issue called “ETAT DU MALI 6.50% 2017-2024”. The total value traded on the market amounts to XOF 181.274 million for 18 251 bonds traded. The bond “ETAT DU MALI 6.50% 2017-2024” with 15 000 bonds for XOF 150 million was the most liquid, representing 82.75% of the total value traded.
